The Master in Judicial rulings and public authority prepares students for the entrance exam of France’s national school of the judiciary (Ecole nationale de la magistrature). This selective degree course is taught at the Ecole normale supérieure (ENS) in Rennes and at Sciences Po Rennes.
The Master in Judicial rulings and public authority (ENM) prepares students for the entrance exam of France’s national school of the judiciary. This selective degree course is taught at the Ecole normale supérieure (ENS) in Rennes and at Sciences Po Rennes.
Students enrolled in this program can also apply to other major national civil service competitive exams requiring similar skills (e.g. policing and prison service management).

Courses are taught by university research professors, instructors, researchers, magistrates and other professionals.
The program includes personal management and professional communication sessions.
Students acquire the methodology essential to passing the examinations mentioned. Refresher courses are provided in civil law and civil procedure, criminal law and criminal procedure. Special attention is given to contemporary issues.
Central to the program is practice in the specific techniques used in this type of competitive exam. Students practice writing legal and general knowledge dissertations, case studies in private law and writing the summary reports that are part of the exam.
Students complete several assignments intended to re-create exam conditions in first and second semester.
Training in oral admissions tests is also provided over the course of a week at the end of August.
Personal management and professional communication sessions delivered by professional psychologists and HR consultants allow students to develop the skills and qualities needed to face the various oral tests of the exam.
Students complete one or several legal internships during the year.
In addition to being well prepared to sit the School of the judiciary exams with an excellent chance of success, graduates also acquire the expertise and knowledge essential to pursuing a career in the judicial professions.
