Starting in year one of a national Master’s degree program (M1)
Below are the list of degrees offered as first-year Master’s programs and information about how to apply.
Students can apply for admission to a first-year national Master’s degree program via the national online monmaster.gouv.fr platform only.
Applications will be accepted from March 22 to April 18, 2023.
Students can apply for admission to the first-year Master’s level Sciences Po degree via the Sciences Po Rennes portal. Students from other establishments can enroll in first-year Master’s level degrees if they meet the criteria for fourth-year admission.
Fourth-year entrance exam : March 22 to April 18, 2023
Created jointly by the following prestigious institutions — the École normale supérieure de Rennes , Sciences Po Rennes, Université de Rennes and the Ecole des hautes études en santé publique — this program offer includes the only Master in public policy degree taught in western France.
The following are national Master’s degrees :
- Civil service/ INSP preparation center
- Security, Defence and Strategic Intelligence
- Governing Regional Change
- Research and Expertise in the Social Sciences of Politics
- Consultation and Regions in Transition (Caen campus)
- Judicial Decision-making and Public Authority
- Education, Law, Economics, Management
Note : students wishing to obtain the Sciences Po Rennes degree in addition to the Master's degree can apply for fourth-year admission.
The following are Master’s level degrees :
- Organization and Project Management
- Risk and Quality Management
- Renewable Energy Project Management(formerly called ‘Land and Sea’)

- Europe and Global Affairs is a national Master’s degree accredited by the Université de Rennes (Submit applications on the monmaster.gouv.fr platform)
Note : students wishing to obtain the Sciences Po Rennes degree in addition to the Master's degree can apply forfourth-year admission.
- Future Generations and Judicial Transitions is a Master’s level degree offered at the Caen campus. Apply for this Master’s degree via thefourth-year admission page.
- Journalism : Reporting and Investigation (Master’s level degree)
Admission to this Master’s degree is subject to an entrance exam andfourth-year admission process.
Enrollment in this program is only possible in the first year of the Master’s degree (M1)(Second-year (M2) admission is not possible)

- Urban Services Engineering and Networks: Cities in the Making
- Innovative Strategies in Urban Areas: Anticipating Transitions (Caen campus)
